what is movement therapy?
Modern life has disassociated us from our instincts: we remain as much animal as we are distinctly human
Using movement processes primarily from the Tamalpa Life/Art Process, primal Impulse is a therapeutic approach that puts you back in touch with your innate self.
Similar to talking therapy, the focus is on your inner world; unlike talking therapy, the body is used to explore your psyche, bypassing the controlled, thinking, brain and its language
“If your body could speak, what would it say?”
— Daria Halprin, Tamalpa Institute
“movement is synonymous with life; with elongating stems and twirling tendrils, plants race one another toward light”
— Bernd Heinrich
